Performing twelve popular folk tunes in their own inimitable style, Wally and the orchestra create a party atmosphere reminiscent of a good old-fasioned Ukrainian wedding.
Through their music, they have the unique ability of conveying to dancers and listeners alike an irrepressible desire to have a good time.
For many years, they have been entertaining at weddings, dances and parties in and around Toronto, Canada and their ever-increasing popularity is an indication of their success.
Augmenting the orchestra in their vocal endeavours are Nick Lelyk of Toronto and Romeo Wawro of Rerketon, Manitoba.
And now to the party - The Ukrainian dance party!!!

Of all the countries and regions in the world, the Ukraine is probably the richest in folklore, folk songs and music.  Many of the still-popular songs have been handed down from generation to generation by word of mouth and now are being passed on to future generations through the miracle of electronic recording.  Even though the Ukraine, as a nation, no longer exists, songs and dances are still being composed and so the cultural background of the Ukraine continues to flourish wherever Ukrainians live.

John Gotch is of Polish and Ukrainian descent and is thoroughly versed in Ukrainian music.  He has compiled this album of songs and dances of the Ukraine, some of them old and some new, and throughout them all, he has used the modern approach to orchestrations and instrumentation while retaining the old world charm essential to this type of music.
The brilliance of his arrangements is enhanced by the singing of Oksana Bluy, Luba Horsky and Vera Iwashako, a charming trio of girls all with extensive training at the Conservatory.

Квартет Каравана вітає своїх численних приятелів цією новою платівкою.  Пісні зібрані в нашій першій платівці в 1970 р. продзвеніли майже по всьому світу. Розійшлися вони не тільки в ЗДА й Канаді, але залетіли між українські люди в Бразилії, Аргентині, чи Австралії.  Наша легкокрила пісня вітала в українських домах і душах у країнах вільної Европи і завітала навіть на наші рідні землі.

Ця друга платівка, своїм репертуаром і характером, не багато різниться від першої.  Тут бо теж переважають пісні легкого, розвагового жанру, з давніших композиторів пригадуємо тут І. Недільського, а з новіших Кос-Анатольського і П. Різолю.  До зовсім нових, модерних надбань нашого репертуару належать твори Анети і Іренея Ковалів та Михайла Шкварка. 

В оцю в’язанку популярних пісень ми хотіли внести різні настрої і різні кольори.  Тому тут насправдні Караваною, у свій час незвичайно поширені і загально люблені пісні, що їх співали Січові Стрільці “як ішли у бій то співали...“  В альбом української стрілецької пісні золотими літерами записалися імена іх композиторів:  М. Гайворонського, Р. Купчинського й Л. Лепкого.  З новіших є тут пісня Гр. Китастого “Чужино“, вона бо незвичайно тепло торкає струни кожного українського серця.


І врешті, у гомін твердої доби Каравана вплітає свій голос в єднанні з протестом української спільноти у вільному світі, проти переслідування наших діячів культури в Україні: це пісня І. Коваля - М. Шкварка “Нескореним слава“ (Англійський переспів “Нескорених“ зблизить цю пісню до наших англомовних приятелів).
