So many cornflowers there are in he fields, and so blue. People say that it is because so many blue-eyed young men have fallen in battle last year.
This song is dedicated to the young heroes of the battle of Kruty (29.1.1918) when 300 Ukrainian students died defending Capital of Ukraine during the Ukrainian Liberation War (1917 - 1920).
